INDEPENDENT HARDWARE INTELLIGENCE

Methodology

Hardware Benchmark separates manufacturer specifications, benchmark evidence and calculated comparison indices. Missing evidence is never silently replaced by a midpoint score.

Specifications

CPU and GPU facts are stored by exact product record. Desktop, mobile and workstation products are treated as distinct products. For graphics cards, GPU board power, recommended system PSU and power connectors are separate fields; board-partner specifications may differ from reference designs.

Source verification

Manufacturer documentation is the preferred authority for product specifications. Where primary material is incomplete or unavailable, reputable independent references may be used to discover or cross-check historical details. Any value supported by secondary evidence must retain appropriate provenance and is not presented as manufacturer-verified. Conflicting or unsupported values remain pending until they can be verified.

Workload indices

Gaming, ray tracing, local AI, creation, efficiency and value are separate categories. V1.0 does not publish a workload result unless both products have comparable validated evidence. Categories without that evidence remain Not yet rated and are excluded from winner calculations.

Missing evidence

Not yet rated means there is not enough validated evidence for that category. It is excluded from winner calculations. A product is never penalised merely because its evidence record is incomplete.

Release rule

The public database grows by verification, not guessing. Pending fields stay pending until a reliable source supports them.
